Page Don’t Lie — Written Out Loud

Written by Joe Skoff | October 17, 2022

Everyone, adults and children alike, cannot stop themselves from thinking all day long. We’re basically professional thinkers—if we were to put our day’s thoughts into a manuscript form, the document would be hundreds of pages long.

The process of writing these thoughts out can be incredibly clarifying because how an idea sounds in our minds and what it looks like on the page can be very different. We may walk around all day with the idea, “My mom hates me, she threw away the carrots I was saving for lunch,” but the minute we write the sentence out, we realize it’s not true.

When an idea is in our head, it’s stuck to so many other ideas that it’s taken for truth; when it’s on the page, it must stand alone on its own merits.

So write, write, write, and become a more accurate thinker!
